I was able to create an empty layer but got the error message when trying to open the property window.
I have made a workaround a while ago for capturing and deployment of the latest Oracle Java package with SEV. As you may have noticed Oracle have done some security stuff in the latest releases of Java. Java does not work correctly if it's beeing redirected by the filterdriver to %programfiles (x86)% dir.
Few years back I used SWV for Windows 7 and I loved it. But later I switched to Ubuntu and was no longer using it. Right now I am back to Windows 10 and want to use SWV for personal use. I saw that in Windows 10, only SWV 7.6 HF8 works. I am using Windows 10 Creators Update. Where can I download the installation file?
There is an issue with unloading registry hives when running the latest build of 7.6 (7.6.247).

I just wanted to take a moment and make a plee for the life of this application. I have been a user from the days of altiris on win xp and it is the single most important software that I use. So much so that after the the windows 10 creator update I went back to windows 7 as I had no idea what to do. I absolutey hate APP-V and Thinapp.
We have enabled some Windows 10 laptops with MS Direct Access (DA) technology so they can access internal resources when outside of the office.
We were going to use SWV until our Windows 10 production platform reaches maturity and then convert to App-V and also some msi when needed.
On a Windows 7 PC with Symantec Workspace Virtualization Agent v6.1 SP8 installed, it is impossible to start Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 (installed from regular offline installer):

I am rebuilding one PC for one of our users, he has a quite big number of layers created and around 20GB of space on C:\fslrdr, I guess that copying just this folder and any other "appdata folders" content will be not good enough. Is it even possible to make a transfer of layers and settings from one PC to another?

I am testing it with the latest version that we have (symantec_workspace_virtualization_7.6.247-new) and very latest Windows 10 OS build 1709 (Fall Creators Update), did not work with the previous release 1703 either.
